According to Section 11 of the Hindu Marriage Act, marriage can be void by a decree of nullity granted by the Court if it contravenes any of the conditions specified in Clauses (i), (iv) and (v) of Section 5.
According to Section 2(g) of Indian Contract Act, an agreement not enforceable by law is said to be void.
Review is a judicial re-examination of the case by same Court and by the same Judge. Thus, Section 114 confers a right of review if the conditions precedent laid down therein are satisfied and lays down the procedure under Order XLVII for it.
